Attachment-based psychotherapy utilizes the concepts established in attachment theory (attachment styles of secure, anxious, ambivalent and disorganized) with analysis of how this style parallels and produces re-enactment in adult relationships.

The connection between the mind and body. Somatic work focuses on our bodies physical reactions to emotional pain. Some otherwise unexplained physiological issues such as headaches and gastrointestinal issues have been linked to emotional pain.
